FIRAS ACCREDITED FIRE DOOR MAINTENANCE

Maintaining fire doors in a compliant state can be an ongoing issue on many sites, whether office, retail, hospital or student accommodation.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) provides a framework for regulating fire safety in all non-domestic premises. Under the RRO each site has a specified ‘responsible person’ who is legally responsible for ensuring that any fire doors are compliant. Where they are not, they need to demonstrate that they have taken all reasonable precautions to rectify the situation.
